Professor in the Department of Anthropology, the University of Manitoba.
About my research
My research looks at intersections of political ecology, economy, governance, meaning, food, and wellbeing in small-scale fisheries. I spent many years working on the marine fishery of Gujarat State, India. I have collaborated with others on research in other parts of South Asia, and elsewhere globally.
