Madu is a PhD Candidate at the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Madu's doctoral research focuses on the governance and institutional context of dried fish value chains with special attention to social wellbeing and gender dimensions. Under the supervision of Prof. Derek Armitage and Prof. Prateep Nayak, Madu undertakes her empirical work in coastal Sri Lanka.

Madu Galappaththi

Madu graduated with a PhD from the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Madu's doctoral research focused on the governance and institutional context of dried fish value chains with special attention to social wellbeing and gender dimensions.
